If you feel like the roasting isn't going well

Coffee beans have completely different characteristics depending on their origin, variety, and size.
So, not all beans will roast the same even if you use the same profile.

"The profile I chose doesn't suit the beans in question."
This is not unusual and is a natural part of roasting.

At Kaffelogic, we offer a number of ways to get closer to your ideal taste.

Method 1: Try changing your profile

The easiest thing to do is to try a different profile.

  • Use the standard core profile
  • Try out profiles shared in the community forums

Simply changing the profile can make a big difference in the flavor.

Method 2: Tweaking in Kaffelogic Studio

Kaffelogic Studio allows you to tailor the profile to your coffee beans.

  • Bean Curve (bean temperature curve)
  • Fan Curve (Fan airflow curve)

By adjusting these, you can get closer to a roast that is more suited to the beans. Also, all settings that can be changed during roasting can be edited. If there are any items that are not displayed, change the Difficulty from "Options" to display more detailed settings.

Create your own profile

If you want to go a step further, you can also create a new profile from scratch by selecting File > New in the top left corner of the screen.


After creating the file, you can freely edit the following information in the "About this file" tab.

  • Profile name and details
  • Recommended Batch Size
  • Change history
  • Roasting tips and recommended settings
  • Cupping Notes

The profile description space is a free memo field .
By keeping a record of your roasting and any observations you make, your next roasting will go more smoothly.

After saving the created profile to the sync folder, select the "Show Roaster" button on the top tab.

  • After displaying your roaster, select the tab "Profiles".
  • Select "Add Profile" and import the data you want to sync, and the profile you created will be synced to the Nano7 roaster.

"Adjustable" rather than "failed"

Roasting isn't something that can be done perfectly the first time.
The process of trying things out little by little and getting closer to your own preferences is fun in itself.
