Manual for obtaining past roasting logs (.klog)

This page provides instructions for customers using Kaffelogic Nano 7 on how to obtain past roasting logs (.klog), which are necessary for support and troubleshooting roasting issues.

When discussing voltage, heat, roasting time, and finish, the actual roasting log data is the most important factor in making a decision.


■ Please prepare in advance

  • Kaffelogic Nano 7 main unit
  • PC (Windows/Mac)
  • Kaffelogic Studio (latest version recommended)
  • USB cable to connect the device to a PC

■ Procedure for obtaining past roasting logs

STEP 1 | Launch Kaffelogic Studio

Launch Kaffelogic Studio on your PC.


STEP 2 | Click "Show Roaster"

At the top of the Studio home screen
Click the "View Roaster" button .

*This operation will take you to the communication screen with the main unit.


STEP 3 | Connect the device to your PC and synchronize your roasting history

  • Connect the Kaffelogic Nano 7 to your PC with a USB cable.
  • Once connected, your roast history will automatically be displayed .

📌 Points

  • Roasting history that is not displayed on the PC will be automatically retrieved if it is saved on the device.
  • No problem even if you don't have a PC connected when roasting

STEP 4 | Select a log

From the displayed roasting history list,
Check the log file you want to send (e.g. log0087.klog ).

  • You can also select multiple logs at the same time.


STEP 5 | Click "Copy"

Click the "Copy" button at the top of the screen.

👉 The selected roast log (.klog file)
It will be saved on your PC .


STEP 6 | Send the log file

The saved .klog file can be

■ Why do we need a roasting log (.klog)?

The roast log records all the important information:

  • Heater output behavior
  • Fan Control
  • Temperature transition
  • Rate of Rise (RoR)
  • Roasting time

By checking this information, it is possible to accurately determine the voltage environment, insufficient thermal power, breaker impact, setting factors, etc.

Q. I wasn't connected to a PC when roasting, but can I still get a log?

A. Yes, there is no problem.
The roasting log is stored on the device itself and can be automatically retrieved by connecting it to a PC later.


Q. Which logs should I send?

A. Please send us the log of the roast where the problem occurred, or multiple recent logs that you would like to compare.


Q. Are the logs deleted?

A. It is not deleted by the copy operation.
