How to create and adjust a fan-level profile (Studio)
This section explains how to adjust the fan profile using Studio.
*This adjustment only applies when using the BOOST KIT (upgrade model).
① Open the fan profile screen
First, click "Fan Profile Curve" at the top of the main Studio screen.

② Open Profile Conversion
Next, select Tools → Profile Conversion from the menu bar.
.
This will display the settings screen for adjusting the fan profile.
③ How to enter RPM

On this screen, you can collectively adjust the fan speed.
It is best to increase or decrease the fan level according to the input amount (g).
■ Basic Rules
If you increase the amount of beans, increase the fan RPM by the same amount.
■ Specific example (using the fan quick reference chart)
For example,
- If increasing from 120g to 130g (+10g)
From the fan level quick reference chart, a 10g difference results in +343 rpm.
Please enter 34.3 in Studio.
(Displayed at 1/10 scale in Studio)

■ Adjustment concept
Based on 120g
- +10g → +34.3
- +20g → +68.7 (34.3+34.4)
Set the adjustment value according to the input amount, as shown above.
④ Apply profile
Once you enter the values and apply them,
👉 The fan profile curve will shift upward overall.

This adjusts the roasting settings for stronger airflow.
⑤ Save profile
Once adjustments are complete,
select File → Save As.
When saving, include:
- Profile name
- Adjustment details (e.g., +10g / +343rpm)
- Creator name

Recording these details will make it easier to manage later.
⑥ Apply to Nano 7
The saved profile can be used for actual roasting by:
- Connecting Studio and Nano 7
- Synchronizing the profile
.
Operational Considerations (Important)
When creating and adjusting profiles, always use 120g as the standard.
This setting is only applicable to the BOOST KIT upgrade version.
■ Why 120g as standard?
Kaffelogic's calibration is designed with 120g as the standard.
Therefore,
- First, perform a Fan Preview with 120g.
- Understand the required adjustment amount (+g).
- Adjust the profile based on that adjustment.
This flow is important.
■ Considerations when using the BOOST KIT
Even when performing large-capacity roasts, such as
- 160g
- 180g
using the BOOST KIT,
👉 Creating the profile with a 120g standard + adjustment value
allows for stable circulation to be replicated.
■ Important Notes
When roasting 150g or more,
👉 Always check the circulation status with Fan Preview.
In particular,
- If the beans in the center are not moving
- If circulation is weak
if you feel this is the case,
👉 additional fan adjustment is required.
Summary
- Adjust the fan profile according to the "input amount."
- Collective adjustment is possible with "Profile Conversion" in Studio.
- Always design based on a 120g standard.
- Check with Fan Preview before actual roasting.
