Our Story – The Pursuit of Perfection

The Kaffelogic story began about 10 years ago in Dunedin, a city on New Zealand's South Island, when founder and engineer Chris Hilder wondered why people couldn't find the perfect cup of coffee in their daily coffee ritual.

For him, coffee is not just a drink, but an important time to organize his thoughts and calm his mind, and he felt that the ideal roasted beans were the "missing link" in that process.

Driven by curiosity and a desire to explore, Chris began experimenting to "scientifically replicate" coffee roasting.
The first thing he did was develop software to control the roasting.
Temperature, time, air flow - all variables were digitally controlled in an attempt to achieve the theoretical "perfect roast."

And from that, the Kaffelogic Nano was born.
It's not just a small roaster, it's a crystallization of passion and technology.
It was a prototype that symbolized the beginning of the journey in search of the perfect coffee.

Of course, even if you have a great idea, it's not easy to bring it to life.
Development, funding, networks, and colleagues - without any of these we cannot move forward.
At that time, it was the entrepreneurial support program "Start-up Dunedin" that Chris participated in that encouraged him to take on the challenge.

This community is a place where aspiring entrepreneurs can share their wisdom and support each other.
There he met people on the same creative journey, and the idea for Kaffelogic gradually became a reality.

Among them, there was one particularly big encounter.
These were David Cohen and Rachel Elder , who later became his "angel advisors."
They believed in Chris' vision and generously contributed their time and expertise to support him.

As a result, Kaffelogic was officially incorporated in 2017 .
This moment marked the first chapter of a new story in the coffee industry.

The following year, they launched their first campaign on New Zealand crowdfunding site PledgeMe .
The project helped put a small startup called Kaffelogic on the map.
The campaign then caught the attention of another important person: John Robson .

John has a wealth of knowledge and network he has built up over many years in the coffee industry, and he is convinced that this project has potential.
He joined the team as a strong business partner and began to turn Chris's dream into a real business.

In this way, the power of engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs came together,
The result is a machine that combines "beautiful precision on the inside with a sophisticated design on the outside."
That is the Kaffelogic Nano , which is still loved by coffee lovers around the world today.

This innovative roaster has brought about a small but significant change in the coffee industry.
It is a "new experience" that combines technology and design.
It is also a miracle from New Zealand, born from the passion of one engineer.

Kaffelogic's journey is truly a journey in pursuit of perfection .
And this journey continues to this day.
